Original music in Jazz-Fresh by: Alexis VAN EECKHOUT Saxophone-Composition-Arrangement Genres: Jazz-Fresh, Nu-Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Jazz-Rock, Acid-Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Tango, Mambo, Crossover, Classical, Film music, Soundtrack, ... Alexis Van Eeckhout, a self-taught musician and a student of the American Saxophonist J.R. Monterose, comes back, as hobby, with what is called a "Jazz-Fresh" (chill-out) style. His musical experience started at a very early age in his family. His first instrument of predilection whas the Clarinet. He played some Classical pieces o f music with his father who was a professional Classical Composer, Organist, and Orchestra's Chief., Later, he played Tenor sax, Alto sax, Soprano sax and Traverse flute with several Belgian bands . Since 1997, he has focused on blending his musical experiences and influences in order to create his own style. Working on his musical phrasing, melody, harmonisation and rythm as well as on a global musical ambiance for each piece. He likes to try a new musical approach with proposing new ways in harmonical structures . These pieces have been composed, performed ( Tenor-sax, Keyboards, Synth ) programmed ( Alto Sax vsti, Trumpet vsti, Pan Pipes flute vsti, Fula flute vsti, Traverse flute vsti, Bandoneon vsti, Acoustic piano vsti, Fender piano vsti, Vibraphone vsti, Hammond organ vsti, Guitars vsti, Violins vsti, Bass vsti, Double-Bass vsti, Drums vsti, Percussions vsti ) and recorded, mixed, mastered by Alexis Van Eeckhout himself . Truly, a music well suited for dream and evasion...

Your having too much fun now, this is very inventive and inquisitive. Felt like it has a few fusion elements, kinda Corea flavored. Of course love the bass and sax unison, very cool orchestral production. Exciting piece, Highly recommend.

Alexis You did it again. And you were absolutely right. It sounds like you definitely 'had fun' with the bass this time. It's such a complex score. I also like how the song is structured. You know, like, drums, no drums, singing sax... The fender piano that comes after the sax part is beautiful. Thanks for sharing! Mas PGP

Sonic delight! Alexis, you are an amazing composer and musician. I wouldn't know where to start on this kind of music. I have never written you a review that i did not mention enjoying your fretless bass tones and arrangements...and this was the icing on the cake! Very cool, my friend, cool indeed!

Hello Alexis, Ahhhh ... what a pleasure to listen to a composition of yours featuring bass. I always love how you compose such strong supportive drums, for the intricate bass lines! The lines that are doubled on piano are my favorite! This is another must listen for anyone loving progressive, and fusion elements. A wonderfull compositiion with beautifull atmospheric interludes. When ever I start to listen to one of your tunes, I know it might be a melodic pleasure and a journey around the world of styles. "Bassonatine" was no exception. No candy for commercial listeners for sure, but friends of prog, jazz and cinematic music will love this one, as the entire catalogue of yours. I especially love the rich progressive drum work here. Cheers, Pascal
